Aja Design began with a simple desire: to create jewellery that feels a little different — pieces with character, texture and a story of their own.
I’m Merve, the designer and maker behind Aja. From my little creative space in Copenhagen, I design and handcraft each piece in small batches, letting materials, colours and shapes guide the process.
Some designs begin with polymer clay, shaped slowly by hand. Others start with the natural beauty of freshwater pearls or gemstones — each one slightly different, which is exactly what I love about them.
For me, Aja isn’t about following one material or one style. It’s about bringing different elements together and turning them into something unexpected, feminine and wearable.
Every piece passes through my hands from the first idea to the final detail.

MEET MERVE ♡
Hi, I’m Merve, the designer and maker behind Aja Design. From my workspace in Copenhagen, I make jewellery using polymer clay, freshwater pearls, natural gemstones and carefully chosen metal details.
My favourite part is working with my hands — shaping a tiny petal, pairing colours and textures, and moving things around until a piece feels right. Sometimes it comes together straight away; other times, I leave it on my desk and come back to it with fresh eyes.
Aja is a very personal part of my life. It’s where I get to follow my curiosity and turn the little things I find beautiful into something someone else can wear and make their own.
Every piece is made by my own hands, slowly and in small batches. I hope you find something here that feels like you — something you reach for simply because you love how it makes you feel.
